Have Questions?

At NIST, international students are defined as individuals who neither hold Canadian citizenship nor permanent residency status in Canada. If you’re enrolling from an address outside of Canada and fall into either of the following categories, you do not meet the criteria as an international student:
1. Canadian citizen.
2. Permanent resident of Canada.

No, there’s no need for student visas or study permits when registering with NIST. Our courses are entirely accessible online, and you can fulfill diploma requirements, including community involvement hours and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, from any location worldwide.
Should you intend to study in Canada later, kindly reach out to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for guidance.

Absolutely! If you wish to enroll in selected NIST courses, you have the flexibility to start at any time. Begin by reviewing the available courses. Be sure to check for any prerequisites for the courses you’re interested in.
In cases where your chosen course has prerequisites, and you’ve completed similar courses outside of Ontario, please reach out to our course coordinator to inquire about our Prerequisite Waiver Application. You’ll need to submit this application form along with your supporting documents and photo ID before proceeding with registration.
Once you receive approval from the NIST course coordinator, you can then complete your online registration.
Should you have further questions regarding course selection or the OSSD, please don’t hesitate to contact our course coordinator or vice-principal.
Additionally, it’s completely normal for children to experience some tears during their initial transition to kindergarten or semi-independence. Keep in mind that this is a natural and healthy response to the love and care you’ve provided them thus far. Moreover, when it comes to transitions and promotions, we create personalized plans tailored to their unique personality traits.
